Kristina has been teaching students to read in a variety of roles for over 10 years! From being a reading-aide, to teaching in Special Education and 6th and 7th grade math teacher, Kristina has learned a verity of methods to help students succeed. Kristina firmly believes that everyone can have success at every skills level. Because of this belief she is able to work with many abilities. Kristina takes times to get to know her students and she is able to modify lessons based on the needs of the students. She also loves to spend time with her family or going on little adventures to small towns.

ELEMENTRY MATH

Marian graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a Math endorsement.  She taught 6th and 7th grade math at a middle school; and 6th grade in elementary school before having kids.  Recently she has taught 5th grade and tutored Reading and Math.  Marian loves getting to know students and helping them feel successful in math using a variety of learning tools.  Marian has three kids and loves to go adventuring with them.  She loves exploring national parks and new places. She also loves good food, music, and reading novels.

Heather graduated from Weber State with a degree in Math Education. While getting her degree, she worked at a math tutoring center. Once she graduated she taught junior high math for 5 years before having kids. She has worked for Kristina’s Tutoring for 2 years and loves helping junior high students better understand math. Heather also enjoys reading and being outside with her family.

Gwen graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo where she is studying Mathematics as an Applied Computational Mathematical Emphasis major with a minor in Computer Science. As the oldest of five kids in her family, Gwen has grown her love for tutoring high schoolers and elementary students in mathematics as well as serving in special needs organizations throughout her life. Gwen tutors over zoom or in person (in the Provo, UT area).

Whether it is lining in the Amazon Jungle in Brazil for 10 months, or leading humanitarian groups to the islands of Cape Verde, Africa, Gwen has always had a passion for adventure and the outdoors. Growing up in southern California, Gwen has enjoys the sun, especially playing sports like track and soccer. She loves making new friends and telling nerdy math jokes! She can not wait the create new friendships tutoring.
